Cauliflower stir fry


Ingredients

  • 1 medium sized cauliflower
  • 2 green chillies ( chopped length-wise)
  • 1 sprig of Curry leaves ( leaves separated)
  • ½ tsp mustard seeds
  • ¼ tsp asafoetida (Hing)
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp of chopped coriander leaves
  • Little water

 Method

  1. Clean and cut the cauliflower into bite size florets.
  2. Heat little oil, add asafoetida. Add mustard seeds.
  3. When mustard seeds splutter add  green chillies and curry leaves.
  4. Add turmeric powder and cauliflower and mix well.
  5. Add little water about 1 tablespoon and cook covered till the cauliflower is almost cooked.
  6. Add salt  and mix well.
  7. Garnish with coriander leaves 
  8. Serve hot with roti or rice.
